Work Experience

The Trust can support a range of work experience placements for schools and colleges.

Any pupil from S4-S6 can take up a work experience placement, either inside or outside school hours, as long as key exam times in April-May are avoided.  Ayrshire College may also occasionally refer students for a placement. College placements may include specific learning outcomes that the Trust are asked to support students in achieving.

Services should consider where and when a work experience placement could be supported.  The placements can be flexible and could take place over one week or for a full term. Potential placements should be discussed with Strategic Leads and referred to the Development Officer for Volunteering and Placements for advertising within schools. External or College requests for work experience will be referred to the appropriate service for consideration.
